We continue to train 5 caregivers of early childhood frameworks that came from the Philipins, Nigeria, Nepale and Ecuador.

A very successful training course for a group of 20 young mothers who are refugees from Eritrea is held twice a month. The mothers arrive to the meetings with their babies and are instructed in Amharic (their mothers tongue) by a veteran Ethiopian immigrant. Most of the mothers arrived in Israel in the last year or two after they fled from their home land and went through a lot of hardships. Most of them are iliterate and do not understand Hebrew or English, so the meetings are the ray of light and help them with all their difficulties.
In addition they are taught about how to raise their children in Israel.
We are happy to announce that The Baron de Hirsch Fund, “Matan – Your Way to Give” and The Dan and Gloria Schusterman Family Fund, continue their support for the Employment and Empowering project for Ethiopian Fathers.
Two courses of home repair that were conducted for Ethiopian Fathers in Beit Shemesh and Nes Ziona endded. 40 proud fathers received a certificate and a tool kit. They are already fixing and reparing at their homes and at their neighbors homes.

Regular on sight training, National training and workshops for the mothers and fathers HVP will begin shortly, by the professional staff of GCCD.
